JAKARTA - A resident died, one serious injury and another person suffered minor injuries in the landslide disaster that occurred in Ngablak District, Magelang Regency, Central Java on Friday (1/12).

The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Magelang Regency explained that landslides occurred after heavy rains flushed the Ngeblak District area.

Two victims who were ornamental plant shop workers were hit by avalanche material with a height of 12 meters when the two of them were in a gazebo below them.

According to Edi, the deceased was taken to the nearest Puskesmas and then handed over to his family who live in Kopeng Village, Getasan District, Semarang Regency. Meanwhile, the seriously injured victims were rushed to the Salatiga Regional General Hospital (RSUD).

Landslides occurred in the Magelang Regency area as well as in Miribo Kulon Hamlet, Giripurno Village, Borobudur District on the same day.
