JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo attended the COP28 World Climate Action Summit (WCAS) which was held at Expo City Dubai, Dubai, United Arab Emirates (PEA).

As reported by ANTARA, President Jokowi arrived at around 10:55 a.m. local time, Friday, December 1 and headed straight to Al Wasl Dome, and was greeted by PEA President Mohammed bin Zayed and United Nations (UN) Secretary General Antonio Guterres.

The three of them took a photo together before President Jokowi entered the Al Wasl Networking Lounge.

In addition, President Jokowi also attended a photo session with all other delegation leaders and appeared to be standing next to Brazilian President Lula da Silva.

After taking a photo together, President Jokowi then walked together to the location where the opening of WCAS COP28 at Al Waha Theater, Dubai Exhibition Center (DEC) was held.

President Jokowi was seen walking while interacting with the Sultan of Brunei Darussalam Hassanal Bolkiah.

Arriving at Al Waha Theater, President Jokowi immediately took the seats to follow the opening of WCAS COP28 which began with an opening speech by PEA President Mohammed bin Zayed and UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.

In the opening, the President was accompanied by the Minister of Environment and Forestry Siti Nurbaya Bakar and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Pahala Mansury.
