Secretary Of Cidaun Subdistrict Violates ASN Netrality, Cianjur Bawaslu Submits Cases To KASN

The case of alleged violation of the neutrality of the state civil apparatus (ASN) carried out by the Cidaun District Secretary with the initials DH was handed over by the Cianjur General Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) to the State Civil Apparatus Commission (KASN).

The Coordinator of the Division for Handling Violations and Datin Bawaslu Cianjur Yana Sopyan said that his party stated that DH as the Secretary of Cidaun District violated the neutrality of ASN as stipulated in Article 2 letter f of Law Number 20 of 2023 concerning ASN.

"Regarding the alleged violation of ASN neutrality in Cidaun District, handling has been carried out in accordance with Perbawaslu number 7 of 2022 concerning Handling of Findings and Reports of Election Violations," he said in Cianjur, Friday, December 1, which was confiscated by Antara.

Meanwhile, the other suspected violators of ASN neutrality are the Cidaun sub-district head. However, after conducting a study, Bawaslu Cianjur did not find evidence of a violation by the sub-district head.

"We will continue the results of the handling to KASN which can take sanctions for violations committed by the Cidaun District secretary as an ASN within the Cianjur Regency Government," he said.

Previously, Bawaslu Cianjur examined a number of ASN in Cidaun District suspected of being involved in practical politics by wearing attributes bearing the name of a candidate for legislative member (caleg) participating in the 2024 General Election.

The Coordinator of the Division for Handling Violations and Datin Bawaslu Cianjur Yana Sopyan said the summons began with public reports regarding violations of ASN neutrality in the Cianjur Regency Government, precisely in Cidaun District.

"We have searched and examined six ASN from Cidaun District, starting from the sub-district head and sub-district secretary to village officials related to alleged violations because there are ASN in the sub-district using a vest with the name of a legislative candidate," he said.

He said Bawaslu would summon several other ASN people for questioning, before conducting a study related to the rules imposed in the alleged violation.

However, initial information is that there are still allegations of violations of neutrality and practical politics committed by ASN in the Cidaun sub-district and have not been included in the campaign violation.
