Ganjar's Program 'One Village, One Health Facility, One Health Worker' Is Indeed Rational And Needed By Community

JAKARTA-The presidential and vice presidential candidate pair number three, Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD prioritizes access to health services for the community through the superior program of 'one village, one health facility, one health officer'.

Political communication observer from Pelita Harapan University (UPH), Emrus Sihombing, praised the program. In addition to education, health is a field that needs to be developed to set quality human resources.

"That is a rational program, not ambition, it can be realized because it's one (health officer and health facility)," Emrus said, Thursday 30 November.

If later economic growth rises, Emrus suggested the number of health officers (nakes) added to three people per village. Namely, a general practitioner, nurse, and midwife.

"Of course, it could be that in the third or fourth year later, his government (Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD) could be three (health officers) per village," he said.

At present, he said, not all villages in Indonesia have adequate health cares and health facilities. In fact, a number of villages have health officers who are volunteers or sons and daughters who return to their hometown to serve.

"That is, it has not been programmed from the government systematically as a major program so far. (Workers and facilities) in the village can be said to be still very minimal. Except, indeed at the district level," said Emrus.

According to Emrus, the progress of a country originated from the village. If the health in the village is good, then automatically at the village and sub-district level it will follow. However, he said, Ganjar Pranowo and Mahfud MD should explain the program financing scheme.

He believes Ganjar Pranowo and Mahfud MD can find various new sources of financing that do not interfere with funds for health programs have been running so far.

Ganjar Pranowo and Mahfud MD are considered to be able to find various new sources of financing by managing Indonesia's abundant natural wealth. On the other hand, Ganjar Pranowo and Mahfud MD were considered to be able to eradicate corruption which caused economic growth to slow down.

For example, Mahfud MD who once stated that every Indonesian could get IDR 20 million per month without working if the gaps of corruption in mining could be closed.

"The figure who can eradicate corruption from these three candidates in my view is Ganjar and Mahfud, because both of them are the background of law. Why do we have a lot of corruption in Indonesia? Because our law enforcement is still chaotic," Emrus said.
