Dismissing The Assumption That The Vice President Is Afraid Of Debate, TKN: Mas Gibran Has Matang Preparations

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Prabowo-Gibran National Campaign Team (TKN) Strategic Coordinator, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, said that the vice presidential candidate Gibran Rakabuming Raka had careful preparations for the debate held by the General Elections Commission (KPU).

"As a leader who is currently also active in the government, then has also participated in the regional head elections chosen directly by the people, of course we are sure that Mas Gibran also has careful preparation," Dasco said at a press conference at the Media Center TKN Prabowo-Gibran, Jakarta, Thursday 30 November, confiscated by Antara.

Dasco also dismissed the assumption that President Joko Widodo's eldest son was afraid to face a debate forum. According to him, Gibran already has experience in the regional head election contest which is directly elected by the people.

"If there is an assumption that Mas Gibran, for example, is afraid of debate, yes, we'll see, you see. We'll see," he added.

In addition, his party is also waiting for the debate formulation to be implemented by the KPU. Dasco supports the KPU's efforts to evaluate the debate formulation to make it more attractive.

"As a success team for candidate pairs, of course we must follow the existing regulations from the KPU and we will follow it," said Dasco.

The KPU determined the location of the first debate for presidential and vice presidential candidates participating in the 2024 General Election at the Indonesian KPU Office, Jakarta, on December 12, 2023.

The KPU has just set a location for the inaugural debate, while the location of the other four debates is still under discussion.

After the inaugural debate, the second debate is scheduled for December 22, 2023, the third debate on January 7, 2024, the fourth debate on January 21, 2024, and the last debate on February 4, 2024.
