Complete List Of UMK Amounts 35 Regencies/Cities In Central Java In 2024

JATENG - The Provincial Government (Pemprov) of Central Java (Central Java) has set the amount of the Regency/City Minimum Wage (UMK) in 2024 for 35 Regencies/Cities in Central Java. Hla is contained in the Decree (SK) of the Governor of Central Java Number 561/57 of 2023 which will take effect on January 1, 2024.

Acting (Pj) Governor of Central Java (Central Java) Nana Sudjana said the determination of the UMK takes into account provincial inflation, district/city economic growth, and alpha value. To determine the value alpha considers the level of employment and average employment or median wages.

Nana said, the UMK 2024 only applies to workers with a working period of less than one year and the determination of the UMK to protect workers with a working period of less than one year so that they are not paid below the stipulated wages.

"For workers or laborers who have worked for more than a year, the wages are guided by the structure of the wage scale. Companies that violate can be subject to sanctions," he said.

Nana added, in the decree related to the determination of the Central Java UMK, it was stated that the highest UMK for Semarang City was IDR 3,243,969, while the lowest UMK was Banjarnegara Regency, which was IDR 2,038,005.00.
