His Family Becomes Participants In The 2024 Election, 10 ASN Surakarta City Government Asks For Leave

The Surakarta City Government (Pemkot) is processing a request for leave submitted by 10 state civil servants (ASN) related to the 2024 General Election.

Head of the Surakarta City Personnel and Human Resources Development Agency (BKPSDM) Dwi Ariotno said, according to the regulations from the Ministry of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform (Kemenpan RB) there is no prohibition for civil servants whose families register or become participants in the 2024 General Election.

"The nature can or can be. If he does not take the opportunity to leave outside of his obligations, then he is not allowed to participate in all election contestation processes. If he has a family, especially close family, husband or wife who participates in the election contestation and he does not take leave outside the state's responsibility, then he cannot participate in any activities, cannot accompany his husband or wife in the election process," he said, confiscated by Antara, Thursday, November 30.

He said that with the status of leave outside the state's responsibility, the civil servant was free of duty, but the consequences were that he did not receive any compensation.

"Including salaries, allowances. Only employment status is still registered as an employee at the Surakarta City Government," he said.

He said, for the length of time the proposed leave was quite diverse. However, he said, the tendency was long.

"If the leave outside the country's dependents tends to be long, some are up to a year, two years, three years. But if specifically the election takes on average one year, until the election is over," he said.

To date, ten ASNs have applied for leave outside the state's responsibility. "If there are seven processes in my place, but not all of them have entered me. There are also BKD staff," he said.

Previously, the Head of the Surakarta City Education Office, Dian Rineta, admitted that he had communicated this to the BKPSDM.

"For teachers whose husbands or wives participate in the election, we are discussing it with the BKPSDM, whether they are required to take leave during the campaign. If the partner wants to relax, it will definitely not be neutral. There are seven teachers, there are supervisors too," he said.
