"There is already the name of a potential suspect, whether his status is ASN or commissioner waiting for the time to be submitted again," said Acting Head of Central Sulawesi Attorney General's Office Abdul Haris Kiay in Palu, Antara, Thursday, November 30. The names of potential suspects were obtained after the results of the calculation of state losses carried out by the Central Sulawesi representative Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) some time ago. "We have held a case exposure to determine the suspect, and in early December investigators will determine the suspect in connection with the case," he said. Haris continued, the Central Sulawesi Bawaslu who were examined had returned Rp200 million in installments. Although the return was carried out, the legal process related to the alleged corruption of grant funds from the Central Sulawesi Provincial Government to Bawaslu continued, and this became the attention of the Attorney General's Office. The prosecutor's team of investigators has also conducted searches and confiscated a number of documents related to the case in several work units (Satker), both in Bawaslu, Central Sulawesi and Bawaslu, District. "About 30 witnesses have been examined by investigators for this case. We are committed to law enforcement, even though Bawaslu has the intention of returning the money, in the sense that the investigation process continues," he said.

The search was carried out by investigators at the Central Sulawesi Bawaslu Office on February 23, 2023, the Donggala Regency Bawaslu on February 28, Bawaslu Parigi Moutong 1 March and Bawaslu Banggai Islands on March 13.
