WONOSOBO - The Wonosobo Police Criminal Investigation Unit, Central Java arrested Faqih Usman Romadi (25) a Wonosobo resident who had the heart to commit obscene acts against a 4-year-old girl.

The perpetrator committed indecent acts against the toddler twice.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Wonosobo Police, AKP Kuseni, said that the arrest of the perpetrator began with a report from the victim's parents who did not accept the heinous act by the perpetrator.

The suspect's obscene act was carried out on November 1, 2023 at around 14.00 WIB.

"At that time the complainant (the victim's parents) came home from work and received information that the victim had been sexually assaulted or molested by the suspect. After meeting with the victim and the complainant received direct information from the victim," said Kuseni, Thursday, November 30.

From the suspect's confession, the modus operandi of the perpetrator who works as a trafficker was determined to molest the victim because he wanted to know directly about women's genitals. This perpetrator's actions have been carried out twice.

The suspect committed sexual immorality in one of the alleys of Jarasari Wonosobo Village.

The suspect admitted that he had committed the obscene act twice. "It has been done twice at different times. He committed obscene acts reason because he wanted to know women's genitals", said Kuseni.

In addition to arresting the perpetrators, the police also secured a number of evidences, namely the victim's clothes during sexual abuse, one brown skirt and one child's underwear or shorts.

For his actions, the suspect was charged with Article 82 paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 76 E of Law Number 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection with a minimum imprisonment of 5 years and a maximum of 15 years, as well as a maximum fine of IDR 5 billion.
