Suspect Of Corruption In Land Certification Of PT KAI In Aceh Detained

JAKARTA - Investigators at the Special Criminal Investigation Directorate of the Aceh Regional Police have arrested a corruption suspect in the procurement of land asset certification belonging to PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) Sub Divre Aceh in East Aceh Regency.

Aceh Police Chief Inspector General Wahyu Widada through the Director of Special Criminal Investigation Kombes Margiyanta accompanied by Head of Public Relations of the Aceh Regional Police, Kombes Winardy said the suspect had the initials AD.

"The Army suspect was detained for questioning. The Army suspect was detained at the detention center of the Aceh Police Headquarters on Tuesday (16/2)," said Kombes Margiyanta in Banda Aceh, as reported by Antara, Tuesday, February 16.

Margiyanta said the suspect was suspected of being involved in a criminal act of corruption inflating the price of making the land certificate for PT KAI's assets in East Aceh for the 2019 budget year amounting to Rp8.2 billion.

From the results of an audit by the Aceh Representative Finance and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP), it was found that state losses reached Rp. 6.5 billion.

"The suspect charged with Article 2, Article 3 of Law Number 31 Year 1999 which was amended into Law Number 20 Year 2001 concerning the eradication of corruption in conjunction with 55 Paragraph 1 to 1 of the Criminal Code jo 64 to 1 of the Criminal Code," said Margiyanta.

Apart from the Army, Aceh Police investigators have also named four other suspects in a similar case. Now, the four suspects have become defendants at the Banda Aceh Corruption Court. They are Iman Ouden, Saefuddin, Robi Irawan, and Muhammad Aman Prayoga.

The allegation of the criminal act of corruption originated from the investigation by the Aceh Regional Police since 2019 on the implementation of land certification activities belonging to PT KAI Sub Divre I Aceh in East Aceh, starting from Birem Bayem to Madat.

Asset certification covers 301 land parcels with a contract of IDR 8.2 billion. In the execution of the work, starting from planning to the certificate making program, it is suspected that there was price markup.
