SUKABUMI - Cikakak Police personnel together with residents of Cikakak District, Sukabumi Regency, West Java evacuated people with mental disorders (ODGJ) who often disturb motorists and people on Jalan Raya Cikolok-Cikakak.

"We received reports from residents that there was an older male ODGJ who often disturbed the community and immediately followed up by evacuating so as not to roam around," said Cikakak Police Chief IPTU Didik Sucipto, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, November 28.

Police angota and residents have difficulty evacuating the ODGJ which is currently walking around the Grand Inna Samudera Beach Hotel, Cikakak District, because apart from being stubborn, they also do not wear clothes at all.

The personnel of the Cikakak Police, Bripka Abdullah Efendi and Bripka Hendi Mardian, together with residents, had to persuade the ODGJ not to rebel and after calm, they finally managed to evacuate the ODGJ and immediately took it to the Asih Welas Foundation in Cipatuguran Village, Palabuhanratu Village, Sukabumi Regency.

According to Didik, from reports from ODGJ residents who often disturb passing motorists, even a parked car was taken and found taking food at a shop on the side of the road.

Not only that, the condition of ODGJ who are not wearing clothes at all certainly makes people uncomfortable and afraid, because they do not hesitate to disturb them and chase them.

Although there have been no reports of residents being injured as a result of ODGJ's actions, his party together with residents evacuated to the psychiatric rehabilitation center so that people, drivers, hotel guests and passing tourists would not worry.
