Tomorrow, SYL Will Be Questioned Again About Extortion Cases

JAKARTA - Former Minister of Agriculture, Syahrul Yasin Limpo, will again be questioned regarding the alleged extortion case that has named the inactive KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri as a suspect. The investigation will take place at the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police, Wednesday, November 29.

"He was questioned at 2 pm, at the Criminal Investigation Unit at the National Police Headquarters," said Syahrul Yasin Limpo's lawyer, Jamaluddin Koedoeboen, to reporters, Tuesday, November 28.

The examination of Syahrul Yasin Limpo is an addition from before. The former Minister of Agriculture will take his statement with the capacity as a witness.

"An additional examination is related to allegations of corruption, in the form of extortion or receipt of gratuities by the FB," said Jamaluddin.

Meanwhile, the Director of Special Criminal Investigation at the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Ade Safri Simanjuntak and Deputy Director of Corruption Crimes at the National Police, Kombes Arief Adiharsa, have not responded when asked about the plan to investigate the SYL.

However, when referring to the previous statement, Ade had mentioned that the investigator would again ask for information from the former Minister of Agriculture.

"That's right (Syahrul Yasin Limpo will be examined again)," said Ade.

However, it is not known exactly what day the former Minister of Agriculture will be questioned.

It was only conveyed that Syahrul Yasin Limpo is not the only one to be questioned this week. However, all witnesses and experts who have previously been examined will be accompanied by their statements again starting November 27.

Including, four KPK leaders namely Alexander Marwata, Johanis Tanak, Nawawi Pomolango, and Nurul Ghufron.

"Starting on November 27, 2023, Monday, the entire series of follow-up investigation activities related to requests for information both to witnesses and experts have been carried out for the next week," said Ade.
