Prabowo Offices As Usual On The First Day Of The Presidential Election Campaign

JAKARTA - The Minister of Defense, Prabowo Subianto, remains in office as usual at the Ministry of Defense office, Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat, Jakarta, on the first day of the 2024 Presidential Election campaign.

Head of the Public Relations Bureau of the Secretariat General of the Ministry of Defense, Brigadier General TNI Edwin A Sumantha, confirmed the information.

"That's right, (the afternoon) is a meeting with the president," he said, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, November 28.

Prabowo is scheduled to attend an internal meeting with President Joko Widodo in Bogor, this afternoon

Candidate pair number 2 Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka chose not to take leave on the first day of the 2024 presidential election campaign. Both, currently active as public officials, chose to continue working as usual.

Gibran, a vice presidential candidate who accompanies Prabowo, has an office as usual at the Surakarta City Hall Office, Central Java, Tuesday.

The Mayor of Surakarta said that this week he wanted to focus on completing a number of infrastructure projects that are the priority of Solo City development, including the revitalization of Solo Safari and Balekambang Park.

Gibran also said that he also directly checked the preparations for the semifinals and finals of the World Cup which took place at Manahan Stadium, Solo, Central Java.
