2 Badau Residents Of West Kalimantan Smugglers 15 Kg Of Shabu Arrested At The RI-Malaysia Border

A joint team while arresting two perpetrators who tried to smuggle methamphetamine/ANTARA/HO-Joint Team.

The joint apparatus arrested two Indonesian citizens who tried to smuggle 15 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine in the Indonesia-Malaysia border area, Badau District, Kapuas Hulu Regency, West Kalimantan.

"Yes, that's right, approximately 15 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine," said the Commander of the Yonarmed Border Security Task Force 10/Bradjamusti Major Arm. Ady Kurniawan was quoted by ANTARA, Monday, November 27.

The two men who brought the drugs had the initials Hd and SP. Both were arrested at around 03.30 WIB.

Ady explained that the methamphetamine was divided into 15 packages packaged using tea packages. The drugs were brought by the two perpetrators through an unofficial route in Badau Village, Badau District, Indonesia-Malaysia border, Kapuas Hulu Regency, West Kalimantan.

"The two perpetrators were arrested by a joint team and found carrying illegal items of methamphetamine," he said.

The two perpetrators and evidence were then handed over to Pomdam XII/Tanjungpura for examination and follow-up in accordance with applicable legal provisions.

Meanwhile, Commander of Korem 121/Alambhana Wanawai Brigadier General Luqman Arief in his statement appreciated the task force's actions in thwarting the smuggling of methamphetamine.

Luqman said it was possible that there would still be drug smuggling efforts in the RI-Malaysia border area because the lure of wages was quite high for drug couriers.

"It is possible that the smugglers are lured with large wages so they want to get money instantly," he said.
