Director Of PT Jakarta Emiten Investor Relations Becomes Asabri's Corruption Suspect

JAKARTA - The Attorney General's Office (Kejagung) has appointed Jimmy Sutopo (JS), Director of PT Jakarta Emiten Investor Relations as a suspect in a case of alleged corruption in financial management and investment funds at PT Asuransi Sosial Angkatan Bers Angkatan Republik Indonesia (Asabri).

Head of the Legal Information Center, Leonard Eben Ezer Simanjuntak, said that Jimmy was named the suspect after being questioned in a marathon.

"The team of investigators has concluded that witness JS has become a suspect in this case," said Leonard at the Bundar Building, AGO, Monday, February 15.

Leonar said, Jimmy Sutopo is a private party involved in criminal acts of corruption. Determination of the suspect against him was based on order number print 09 / f.2 / fd.2 / 02/2021 dated February 15, 2021.

"(JS) As a private party who participated jointly committed the crime of corruption in the management of PT Asabri Persero's finances and investment funds," he said.

The suspect charged with Article 2 paragraph 1 or Article 3 in conjunction with Article 18 of Law 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Corruption as amended by Law 20 of 2001 concerning Eradication of Corruption in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code.

Then, Article 3 of the Law on ML Eradication, Law number 8 of 2010 in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph 1 to 1 of the Criminal Code or Article 4 of Law Number 8 of 2010 concerning the prevention and eradication of ML in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph 1 to 1 of the Criminal Code.

In Asabri's alleged corruption case, the AGO named eight suspects. Two former CEOs of PT. Asabri was named the suspect, namely Major General (ret) Adam Rachmat Damiri and Sonny Widjaja.

Meanwhile, for the other six suspects, namely BE as the former finance director of PT. Asabri; HS as Director of PT. Asabri; IWS as the Head of Investment Division of PT. Asabri; LP Managing Director of PT. Prima Network; BT and HH.
