Drivers In Ambon Complain That There Are Only 30 Liters Of Pertalite Filling Restrictions Per Day

JAKARTA - One of the drivers of a four-wheeled vehicle in Ambon City, P (50) complained about the provisions at one of the gas stations in Ambon City which limited Pertalite purchases to only 30 liters per day.

To VOI, P said that at the time of refueling he had shown the QR Code he got from the MyPertamina application.

"Here, the contents can only be filled with 30 liters. Even though it takes a lot to deliver guests and 30 liters is not enough," he said, quoted on Thursday, December 19.

To overcome the fuel shortage, he was forced to fill Pertamax fuel which was more expensive, thereby eroded his income in a day.

Met separately, Head of BPH Migas Erika Retnowati said that until now the government has not imposed restrictions on the purchase of subsidized fuels such as Pertalite. Erika suspects the restriction is a local government policy.

"That's probably from the local government, yes. Gini, the pertalite is now buying it using a barcode. Maybe yes, I haven't seen the rules yet, maybe those who don't have a barcode are limited," Erika said when met at the Barge Floating Power Plant (BMPP) Nusantara I City Ambon, Maluku Province, quoted Thursday, December 19.

Erika added, BPH Migas did give permission for the Regional Government to regulate the distribution of subsidized fuel as long as it was stricter than the BPH Migas rules. For this reason, he suspects that the restriction is a local government policy.

When confirmed to the President Director of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, Riva Siahaan emphasized that there were no restrictions on purchasing subsidized fuel. He admitted that the purchase of fuel currently uses QR COde but there are no restrictions.

"Maybe from the regional government, but from Pertamina there is none," said Riva

Riva also emphasized that there are no restrictions from Pertamina. People, he said, can still buy Pertalite even though they don't have a QR COde.

"Right now, Pertalite purchases use a QR Code and there are no restrictions," said Riva.
