Female Friends Obscene, Former Dangdut TV Contest Finalist Arrested

TARAKAN - A former dangdut contest finalist on a private television with the initials SL was arrested by the PPA Unit of the Satreskrim Polres Tarakan, North Kalimantan, Monday, November 20.

The 26-year-old man is suspected of having committed acts of sexual abuse against his female friend with the mode of buying apples.

The SL suspect (26) could no longer move when he was detained at the Tarakan Police Headquarters, North Kalimantan, Monday afternoon. SL could only surrender when he was taken away by the police because he was suspected of having committed acts of obscenity against his female friend whom he knew through social media.

The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Tarakan Police, AKP Randhiya Saktika, said that the sexual abuse incident carried out by the SL suspect began when the suspect and the victim agreed to meet. At that time, SL lured the victim to buy apples.

At that time the victim received a message from the perpetrator via Instagram. The perpetrator will give the victim an apple. Then the victim waited for the perpetrator in front of the alley of his house," said Randhiya, Tuesday, November 21.

Seuai met, suspect SL forced the victim to get on a motorbike. The suspect took the victim to an empty house in the Mulawarman Street area, Karang Anyar Pantai Village, North Tarakan District.

Arriving at the empty house, the suspect SL forced to remove the victim's headscarf, and commit obscene acts against the victim. Luckily, the victim ran away and then reported the unfortunate fate he experienced to the police station.

Armed with a police report from the victim, officers immediately conducted an investigation and arrested the SL suspect at the house of his parents who were not far from the location of the sexual abuse.

"The perpetrator was arrested on Jalan Mulawarman at his parents' residence, for the perpetrator with the initials SL aged 26," he added.

As a result of his actions, SL, who had triumphed while participating in the dangdut singer contest on national private TV in Jakarta, is now forced to languish behind the cold imprisonment.

The police also charged SL with Article 6 letter C or Article 6 letter A of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 12 of 2022 concerning the Crime of Sexual Violence.
