JAKARTA - Former Chairman of the Indonesian Parliament, Marzuki Alie, revealed his secret with Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY). The story that was said to have made Megawati Soekarnoputri missed twice.

According to Marzuki, the secret appeared at a meeting at the Sheraton Airport Hotel in 2004. The president at that time was still Megawati Sukarnoputri-Hamzah Haz. The meeting took place after the Democratic Party passed in the legislative elections.

"In 2004, after passing the one-on-one election with SBY and witnessed by Pak Hadi Utomo, at the Sheraton Airport there were small books at the meeting table, I thought SBY was going to have a meeting", said Marzuki Alie in a discussion broadcast on the channel. During the meeting, SBY informed Marzuki Alie that he was going to run in the 2004 presidential election. SBY had already determined his running mate, Jusuf Kalla (JK). At that time, SBY was the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs and JK was the Coordinating Minister for People's Welfare during the era of President Megawati Soekarnoputri. At that time, SBY said Megawati had missed two times.

"In there he (SBY) said that he would pair up with Mr. JK and Mrs. Mega would miss twice. That means, the first step he missed, the second he missed Mr. JK was the sentence. Mr. Marzuki is the first person I will tell you, we will have a meeting later", said Marzuki revealing the secret.

During the meeting, Marzuki Alie was not yet a cadre of the Democratic Party. He still sits as a director at a state-owned company. Then Marzuki asked SBY his future steps. SBY suggested Marzuki Alie fully join the Democrats.

"Just go to Democrats. I am the director of Semen Baturaja, Sir SBY asked me to stop. When SBY asked me to join Democrats, I said, 'Sir, I am ready'", said Marzuki.

Hearing this confession, Akbar Faisal immediately asked. Is this what caused the relationship between SBY and Megawati to cool down? Marzuki Alie doesn't want to speculate.
