Firli 'Ngumpet' In A Car After Being Examined By The Metro Police, Former KPK Investigator: Wibawa Is Destroyed If This Is The Case

JAKARTA - The style of KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri hiding after being questioned at the Polda Metro Jaya regarding the alleged extortion of former Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo was responded to by former KPK investigator Yudi Purnomo. He said the KPK's authority could be destroyed by the behavior of its leadership.

It is known that Firli had approached him by lying in his car after undergoing an inspection at the Police Criminal Investigation Unit. He also covered his face with a black bag.

"The authority of the KPK is destroyed if it looks like this," said Yudi, quoted from the Twitter account or X, @yudiharahap46 on Thursday, November 16.

Yudi assessed that Firli shouldn't have to hide like that. "Yes, if it's clean, you're not guilty, what to do like that," he said.

"Yesterday he also made an open statement regarding the press conference. So why is it being investigated by the Metro Police at the Criminal Investigation Unit instead turning 180 degrees," continued Yudi.

As previously reported, Firli Bahuri fulfilled his promise to attend the examination as a witness in the alleged extortion case against former Agriculture Minister Syahrul Yasin Limpo at Bareskrim Polri.

Regarding the examination, Firli Bahuri's lawyer, Ian Iskandar, said that his client was examined for approximately three hours. However, it did not specify the number of questions asked by investigators.

"Starting from 10 to 1 o'clock, it's finished, three hours," he said when confirmed.

In the alleged extortion case carried out by the KPK leadership against SYL, investigators believe that there was a violation of Article 12 letter e, Article 12 letter B and or Article 11 of the Corruption Crime Law Junto Article 65 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code.
