Installation Of 19 Pipes In Bojongkulur Successfully Overcome Floods, Regent Ade Yasin: Now Floods Are Solely And Fast Receding

JAKARTA - Bogor Regent Ade Yasin believes that the installation of 19 water pumps in Bojongkulur, Gunungputri, Bogor Regency, West Java (West Java) is effective in dealing with annual flooding in the region.

"In 2020, there was a big flood here, but this year we have anticipated it. We are doing mitigation by building 19 water pumps. Alhamdulillah, the people themselves told me that the water pump was greatly helped," said Ade Yasin in Bogor, quoted from Antara, Monday , February 15th.

The pumps installed at the end of 2020 succeeded in minimizing flooding significantly in the Housing of Villa Mahkota Pesona and Villa Nusa Indah.

"What used to be a big flood with a lot of mud, now the flood is only bare feet and receding quickly," he explained.

The installation of the pump engine with a capacity of 100 liters per second was carried out to save 7,600 families who often become victims of floods in Bojongkulur.

This is because, continued Ade Yasin, floods often occur because of the position of the area flanked by the Cileungsi and Cikeas Rivers.

Flood management in the eastern region of Bogor Regency is one of the main programs of the Regent and Deputy Regent of Bogor, Ade Yasin-Iwan Setiawan named Pancakarsa, especially the Bogor Build initiative.

According to him, this year the installation of pumps at flood-prone points will be resumed in conjunction with the Cileungsi River Normalization program.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Bogor Regency PUPR Office, Soebiantoro said that the dozens of water pumps functioned when the river overflowed, thereby accelerating the drainage of the flood and minimizing silt.

"The source of funding comes from the Bogor Regency APBD in 2020 with a total ceiling of Rp. 3.8 billion," said the man who is familiarly called Bibin.
