Candidate For TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto Guarantees TNI Is Neutral In The 2024 General Election

JAKARTA - Candidate for TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto guarantees that the TNI will be neutral in the upcoming 2024 General Election.

This was stated by General Agus during a fit and proper test at Commission I of the DPR, Monday, November 13.

"(Regarding the 2024 election democracy party) I am committed to guaranteeing TNI neutrality at every stage of the election," said TNI General Agus Subiyanto.

The Army Chief of Staff (KSAD) also guarantees that the TNI-Polri will be solid to secure the five-year democratic party which will be held on February 14, 2024.

"At the same time, it will strengthen the synergy and solidity of the TNI-Polri in securing the course of the democratic process through joint training and posts," said General Agus.

"So that the sustainability of the government wheels and political stability is maintained," he added.

Previously, TNI Commander Admiral Yudo Margono had ordered his staff to be neutral in the 2024 General Election.

"We have emphasized, to ensure that the TNI must be neutral, I have conveyed this to all ranks," said Yudo Margono, Tuesday, November 7.

According to him, the neutrality of the TNI is the key to the 2024 General Election taking place safely and peacefully.

"If you want elections to be safe, peaceful, cool, starting from the TNI and Polri, you have to be neutral first. If the TNI is neutral, I'm sure he will focus on maintaining the sovereignty and integrity of the Republic of Indonesia to protect the entire nation and their country will be easy to carry out their duties," said TNI Commander Yudo Margono.
