TNI Commander Admiral Yudo Margono stated that he was seeking humanitarian assistance from the government and the people in the country for victims of the conflict in the Gaza Strip to reach Pelestina. This effort is being made by representatives of Indonesia in Egypt.

"Indonesian representatives who work there continue to strive and continue to negotiate so that humanitarian assistance sent from the country for the Palestinian people is distributed," said Yudo Margono after inaugurating the 200 HAWK aircraft defense equipment monument in the Dumpil Toll Gate area, Madiun District, Madiun Regency, East Java, Saturday.

Apart from continuing to strive, Indonesian representatives also follow the procedures in force in the area.

Yudo said that not only humanitarian assistance from Indonesia is still being held back in Egypt, but also assistance from other countries.

"We cannot intervene. Many other countries are also detained together, we are assisting the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip," he said.

On the other hand, the TNI and also communities throughout the country continue to raise humanitarian aid to be sent to Palestine in the next stage.

Previously, on Saturday (4/11), at Halim Perdanakusuma Airport, President Joko Widodo released the delivery of humanitarian aid from the Indonesian government and people for Gaza and arrived at El Arish Airport, Egypt, on Monday (6/11) at around 08.00 local time.

Assistance in the form of foodstuffs, medical equipment, blankets, tents, and other logistics items weighing a total of 51.5 tons is the first stage of aid sent by the Indonesian government to Gaza.

The assistance was transported using three aircraft, including two C-130 Hercules aircraft numbered A-1327 and A-1328 from the 31st Air Squadron and 32 Indonesian Air Squadron, as well as one Boing 737 Garuda Indonesia chartered aircraft.

After coming from Egypt, the aid will be brought into Gaza via the Rafah border, then distributed to victims by the United Nations agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), two international humanitarian agencies operating at the center of the Israeli conflict and the Palestinian Hamas group.

However, until now the humanitarian aid is still being held in Egypt.
