Chairman Of The DPR BKSAP Fadli Zon Calls Israel A Perpetrator Of Genocide And War Crimes

JAKARTA - Chairman of the BKSAP DPR Fadli Zon urged the Asian Parliamentary Session (Asian Parliamentary Assembly-APA) to designate Israel as the perpetrator of genocide and war crimes. Fadli Zon in his speech asked world countries to take concrete steps to stop the war, whose practice is genocide against Palestinian civilians, especially children and women. If there is no firm follow-up, he stressed that this situation will be a nightmare of the humanitarian crisis, as stated by UN Secretary-General Antonio Gutterias.

Fadli Zon, who is also the World Vice President for Palestine, strongly urges the Asian Parliament (APA) to call Israel a war criminal, a perpetrator of genocide and a terrorist state. He also called on countries in the world including members of the Asian Parliament to isolate Israel and cut ties with Israel.

The statement was made by Fadli Zon at the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA) forum held in Baghdad, Iraq on Friday-Saturday (10-11 November 2, Palestine023). Through the APA forum, he hopes that parliamentary diplomacy will be able to contribute to stopping the ongoing war and crimes against humanity against Palestine.

"APA Membership Parliament must show a message as strong as possible and must be stated in the resolution of the Asian Parliaments Unwavering Support for the Palestinian People. This will strengthen the role of the world parliament in resolving conflicts, including in Palestine," said Fadli.

Regarding the latest developments between Palestine-Israel, the deputy chairman of the Gerindra Party's Board of Trustees condemned Israel's atrocities over Palestine. Israel's actions not only undermined humanity and tore human rights but also showed complete barbarity.

"Israel carried out indiscriminate attacks to eliminate all Palestinians. By all means of destroying houses, apartments, hospitals, schools, and other civilian objects. Israel ignores international law and even war laws. Israel must be prosecuted for war crimes and genocide in Gaza," he said.

He hopes the international community will be able to exert double pressure on Israel to stop its military aggression against the Gaza people through a total ceasefire. In addition, according to him, countries around the world need to use influence to urge Israel to stop taking acts that violate human rights, including by lifting a total blockade against Gaza.

"The international community must be more objective and fair in assessing the situation in Palestine and not using double standards and narrow views. Actions like this will not solve the root of the problem and will not even help the peace negotiations process," concluded Fadli Zon.

For information, based on reports received, more than 11,000 Palestinians were killed, including more of them being 4,500 children. During the war, many Palestinian casualties were trapped under the rubble and under siege by Israel so access to vital needs such as fuel, food and electricity was difficult to obtain. Israel then blocked the access on purpose.

On average, every Palestinian child is killed and two others injured every 10 minutes of Israeli attacks. Israel has also attacked a number of major hospitals in Gaza, now on the verge of total collapse, one of which is an Indonesian hospital in Gaza.
