Case Of Alleged Deviations In Cianjur CMD Financial Management Goes To Investigation

CIANJUR - The District Attorney's Office (Kejari) of Cianjur, West Java, conducted an investigation regarding the alleged irregularities in the financial management of the Cianjur Regional Owned Enterprise (BUMD) Sugih Mukti (CSM) from the Cianjur Regency Government's capital participation in 2022 amounting to IDR 10 billion. The head of the Cianjur District Attorney's Office, Yudi Prihastoro, said that this case had been raised to investigations in early November after examining a number of witnesses and documents. "We have investigated allegations of irregularities in the management of the capital investment budget in CSM BUMD since mid-October and early November, which were increased to investigation, after examination of witnesses and documents were carried out," he said in Cianjur, as reported by Antara, Friday, November 10. His party suspects that there have been irregularities in the management of the capital participation provided by the local government to the BUMD, based on the examination of documents, there are a number of fictitious transactions and financial reports that cannot be proven. Even from the results of the examination of witnesses and documents, the capital provided by the local government was not left, so his party was still digging for other evidence and tracing the flow of funds before determining the suspect and the value of state losses. "For the suspect, maybe more than one person, but we are still digging up the flow of funds and other evidence before determining the suspect's name, as soon as possible we will determine the status of a suspect," he said. The Regent of Cianjur Herman Suherman, fully supports the law enforcement efforts made by the Cianjur District Attorney regarding the alleged misuse of financial management at the BUMD Cianjur Sugih Mukti, who is only two years old, can be thoroughly investigated. "We fully support law enforcement related to BUMD Cianjur Sugih Mukti, which should assist local governments in suppressing rising prices for basic necessities and breaking the distribution chain of produce with the capital participation provided," he said. Herman explained that the initial intention of establishing the BUMD was to accommodate agricultural products from farmers for the needs of traditional market stocks in Cianjur, so that when price increases occur, the supply from BUMD can suppress and stabilize prices.

"We ask that it be investigated thoroughly because the capital participation that has been disbursed to BUMD is quite large, but it is misused by the management," he said.
