JAKARTA - Minister of Social Affairs (Menos) Tri Rismaharini or Risma visited the locations and victims of landslides in Kalijering Village, Padureso, Kebumen Regency, Central Java (Central Java), Friday, February 12.

Social Minister Risma met the affected residents who are now taking refuge in several houses, mosques and village halls around the landslide disaster. Risma had comforted the children in the evacuation so that they were not traumatized by the landslide incident.

The Minister of Social Affairs said that people often ignore children, who are the most vulnerable group in natural disasters. It is very difficult for them to forget disasters even as adults.

"Therefore, later I will bring in a team that will help with trauma healing so that they are not traumatized," said Risma.

Risma conveyed that dealing with disasters does not need to be separated, this is a regional task, a provincial task or a central task and so on.

"The Kebumen disaster has casualties. So why do I prioritize here. I just received a report last night that this landslide disaster had victims so I came here," he said.

Risma asked regional leaders to village heads to prevent landslides. If the settlement location is no longer possible to be occupied, it should be relocated.

"But I don't know there is land, not for relocation, God willing, there is," he said.

On this occasion the Minister of Social Affairs provided compensation for the families of the victims who died, then provided infrastructure assistance to relieve the residents.

"Later, I will communicate again for the construction of houses, indeed we have a budget, but I do not understand how many buildings here are if you want to build a house. Later it needs synergy with the provinces and regencies so that it can become a proper house," he said.

Assistance from the Ministry of Social Affairs for handling natural disasters in Kebumen, namely in the form of logistics worth IDR 46 million, regular rice 4 tons and compensation for the heirs of 3 people IDR 45 million.
