MATARAM - Secretary General of the PDI-P DPP (PDIP) Hasto Kristiyanto revealed that Gibran Rakabuming Raka is no longer a big family of the PDI-P. Gibran has become part of the Golkar Party after being nominated as a vice presidential candidate to accompany presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto. "We have received a call from the General Chair of the Golkar Party, Airlangga Hartarto, that Mas Gibran is in the 'yield', in Golkar, Gibran automatically because he is no longer part of the PDIP family," he said when asked about Gibran Rakabuming Raka's status at the PDI-P after opening the Regional Coordination Meeting of the PDIP NTB DPD in Mataram, as reported by Antara, Sunday, October 5. Based on the constitution, presidential and vice presidential candidates are carried by political parties (political parties) or coalitions of political parties. "This is also regulated in the regional elections, so that even in the presidential election the presidential and vice presidential candidates have a double KTA, they cannot be (nominated, ed)," said Hasto. According to him, President Joko Widodo's eldest son has sent a letter of resignation, so that politically ethically it is fulfilled. "It is fulfilled, meaning that Gibran has said goodbye through Mbak Puan. That means goodbye to be nominated with the Gerindra Party and Golkar," he said. Hasto denied that if PDIP had difficulty dismissing Gibran, it's just that what is happening now is a political reality. "Politics is talking about ethics, the people are voicing it. Because above the party there are people," said Hasto Kristiyanto. Therefore, continued Hasto, because Gibran has been nominated by other parties, Gibran automatically does not have a PDIP KTA.

"Oh no (KTA, ed) because officially if it is still a PDIP cadre, then Gibran cannot be nominated by Golkar. That is the constitutional provision unless further changes are made. Yesterday, changes were made for age and experience," he said.
