Hundreds Of Millions Of Thieves In Makassar's Empty House, Perpetrators Shot By Police When Arrested

The fugitive who detained the household assistant (ART) to collect hundreds of millions of rupiah and carried out a number of acts of burglary into an empty house in Makassar City, South Sulawesi, was shot in the leg by the police. Hacking the CCTV footage, this made it easier for the Makassar Police Unit Jatanras Polrestabes Police together with the Tamalate Police to identify the perpetrators and carry out raids at two locations, namely a boarding house in Makassar City. Police finally arrested the perpetrator, namely a man named Iwan (43) at his hiding place in Bulukumba Regency, South Sulawesi. In that arrest, the police were forced to shoot the perpetrator's feet, because when they were about to be taken to look for a number of evidence of his crimes in Makassar City, he fought. The perpetrator was immediately taken to the Bhayangkara Police Hospital to lift the bullet projectile at his feet. The perpetrator then took the bullet projectile that was lodged at his feet. The perpetrator was known to be a fugitive who carried out the robbery in a house by locking ART in Makassar City and stealing money amounting to Rp 600 million in 2021. In addition, the perpetrator also broke into an empty house on Jalan Tanjung Bunga, Makassar City and took tens of millions of rupiah, October 2023. "The perpetrator broke into an empty house, he once carried out in 2021 and at that time arrested the house owner's assistant. From the police records, the perpetrator is a recidivist of a similar case who served a sentence at the Palu City Penitentiary, Central Sulawesi. After being released from prison, the perpetrator has committed 11 acts of theft and robbery in Makassar City. "The perpetrator admitted that he had burglarized an empty house in 11 locations. Finally, he did four days after leaving Palu Prison. He was carried out on Jalan Metro Tanjung Bunga, which was taken for approximately Rp. 50 million along with Singapore dollars," he explained.
