10 People Called KPK Councils Have Been Examined Regarding Alleged Firli-SYL Meetings

JAKARTA - The Supervisory Board of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said 10 people had been investigated for alleged violations of the ethics of the meeting between KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri and former Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo.

This number was revealed by KPK Supervisory Board member Syamsuddin Haris when asked about which parties had been questioned regarding the meeting between Firli and Syahrul. He said the number consisted of internal and external parties from the anti-corruption commission.

"More than 10 people (who have been examined, ed), (there are parties, red) internal and external KPK," Syamsuddin told reporters quoted on Saturday, November 4.

Syamsuddin did not specify the party being investigated. However, some time Deputy Chairperson of the KPK Alexander Marwata, Nurul Ghufron, and Johanis Tanak have been questioned by the KPK Supervisory Board regarding the meeting between Firli and SYL.

Meanwhile, regarding Firli's meeting, Syamsuddin did not want to talk much. Including the inspection schedule on November 8 last.

"There is no schedule yet," he said.

Previously reported, the KPK Council clarified the KPK leadership, namely Nurul Ghufron, Johanis Tanak and Alexander Marwata. Of the three, they were investigated about the alleged extortion related to the handling of the alleged corruption case at the Indonesian Ministry of Agriculture.

"In general, related to allegations of extortion and clarification related to photos, that's all the questions are. Regarding the extortion, I don't know what happened," said Alex at the ACLC Building, Rasuna Said, South Jakarta, Monday, October 30.

Meanwhile, KPK Chairman Firli has not yet been examined by the KPK Council. He asked for a postponement until November 8 without giving a clear reason even though he was in the office.
