Posting There Is A Bomb At Koja Trade Mall, 6 Students Arrested By The Jakut Police

JAKARTA - Visitors to the Koja Trade Mall were shocked by the threat of bombs circulating via messages on social media. The police immediately followed up the news to conduct a search at the location, Thursday, November 2.

Koja Police Chief, Kompol Muhammad Syahroni said his party was conducting a search to confirm the information.

"I as the Koja Police Chief immediately sent a team to the TKP, to carry out initial sterilization at the TKP," said Syahroni in his statement, Thursday, November 2.

Separately, the North Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Gidion Arif, confirmed that there were no bombs in the area. This was after an examination was carried out.

"There's no (bomb)," he said.

Gidion said that after tracing the news, his party secured a number of students who were suspected of playing games by threatening them.

"Searched from the social media message that was placed on IG (Instagram). Now got six people. Six people are school children. One of them is a high school student. They turned out to share with each other between those who contained the threat earlier, on behalf of Nurdin M Top. " said Gidion.

Gidion once again confirmed that the bomb news at Koja Trade Mall did not exist.

"It's just a toy between them. Yes, on the one hand, this kid's toys are not in place, but we have confirmed the location is safe and normal activities. There is no problem." he said

When asked who the perpetrators were, Gidion only confirmed that 5 boys and 1 girl were still students.

"The matter for the child who provided the information has been secured. For further action. It's been (secured) mas," he concluded.
