JAKARTA - To support the government's program to boost visits to 5 super-priority tourist destinations, Citilink Airlines is trying to answer this challenge by opening flights to Labuan Bajo.
Labuan Bajo is one of the five super-priority destination areas located in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). Labuan Bajo is also known as "NTT's paradise".
President Director of Citilink, Juliandra said Citilink's new flight route to Labuan Bajo is from Denpasar, Bali. This route will use an Airbus A320 aircraft and will be available every day.
"The Denpasar-Labuan Bajo route was opened as a form of Citilink's support for the development of super-priority tourist destinations that have been set by the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf)", he said in a press release, Thursday, February 11.
In addition to the Denpasar - Labuan Bajo route, Citilink has also opened 2 new routes, namely Cengkareng - Kendari and Cengkareng - Kupang using an Airbus A320 aircraft, which will also be available every day.
Different from Denpasar - Labuan Bajo route, Juliandra hopes that the Cengkareng - Kendari, and Cengkareng - Kupang routes can create opportunities for economic activity to be more active and grow rapidly during the adaptation period for new habits.
"We are optimistic that this route will be of great interest to the public, both for business people and for travel, considering that this flight is also connected (connecting flight) with flights to other big cities which are economic centers in Indonesia such as Surabaya, Medan, and Batam", he said.
He said that his party always implements strict health protocols in all lines of flight operations, from before, inside, to after the flight concerning the health protocol provisions set by the government.
This step is taken by the company to ensure that all flights run optimally while still prioritizing health and safety for all customers.
