Ganjar Intends To Invite Khofifah To Ridwan Kamil Give Support In The 2024 Presidential Election

JAKARTA - Candidate for president (candidate) Ganjar Pranowo intends to invite East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa to former West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil to join his ranks in the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres).

This was conveyed by Ganjar after responding to the declaration of support from the son of the 4th President Abdurrachman Wahid or Gus Dur, Yenny Wahid. Initially, he said there was an intention to invite Khofifah because they often communicated.

"Yes, I want to invite Khofifah, ed). I communicate continuously when I go to East Java. My 'Bu Khofifah is here', 'yes, hopefully success' because I am very good with her," said Ganjar to reporters at the PDIP DPP Party School, Lenteng Agung, Jakarta, Saturday, October 28.

Furthermore, Ganjar then mentioned Ridwan Kamil's name. However, he realized that this step was certainly not easy to do.

"Kang Emil also wants us to withdraw everything," said the former Governor of Central Java.

"But we invite these friends to need inner help, inner equality, so that we can be united. I am the most suitable, yes, with Ganjar-Mahfud, these friends," continued Ganjar.

Previously reported, Khofifah's name was also mentioned as a candidate for her vice presidential candidate before finally the elected Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD.

He even became a strong candidate considering that he had a mass base in East Java like Mahfud.

Yenny Wahid has declared support on Friday, October 27 yesterday.

He then got a position as Steering Committee for the National Winning Team (TPN) Ganjar-Mahfud with the Chairperson of the PDIP DPP Puan Maharani.
