Densus 88 Arrest 18 Terrorists During October 2023

JAKARTA - Densus 88 Anti-terror arrested 18 terrorism suspects throughout October 2023. The arrests were made in West Sumatra to West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).

Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan, detailed the first action taken by Densus 88 against suspect RA in the West Sumatra region on October 2.

Another suspect with the initials AT was arrested in West Java on October 5. He is an Anshor Daulah terror group.

Then, Densus 88 also arrested five terrorist suspects in South Sumatra from 15 to 16 October 2023. The five were called members of the Jamaah Islamiyah (JI) group.

"Five people (initials) HN, MA, IW, AS, and AN," said Ramadhan, Thursday, October 26.

A few days later, the arrest of terrorists was made again in Lampung, October 18, 2023. Four people with the initials MA, AZ, IS, and S were named suspects.

Densus 88 Anti-terror also took action against six terrorist suspects in the NTB region from 19 to 23 October 2023. They have the initials M, I, BH, RM, M, and MIW, which are Anshor Daulah networks.

There was also the arrest of a terrorist suspect with the initials UH in West Kalimantan on October 19, 2023.

"UH plays a role in propaganda through social media," said Ramadhan.
