Kunker To West Sumatra, Jokowi Promises To Expand The Practic Workshop For SMK 5 Padang

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) reviewed the supply and prices of basic necessities at the Mother Market, Mentawai, West Sumatra (West Sumatra), today Wednesday, October 25.

In this account too, Jokowi reviewed teaching and learning activities at SMK 5 Padang.

When visiting Pasar Ibu, Jokowi greeted and provided social assistance to market traders and street vendors.

In addition, Jokowi also checked a number of food prices that were traded by traders, such as vegetables, which he said were sold at low prices.

Not only vegetables, one of the foods made of soybeans, namely tempeh can be obtained by the community at a low price.

While during his visit to SMK 5 North Padang, the President said that he always took the time to visit the main school of SMK in every working visit to the regions.

"Because that's where (SMK) is actually related to skills (capability), skills are really being carried out," said Jokowi.

He said SMK 5 Padang has several majors, including automotive, buildings, electronics, and practice places.

"That's pretty good. I asked the children who were training, some were given the opportunity to train skills, I think it's very good," he explained.

The President promised to help expand the children's workshop at SMK 5 which is currently still lacking.

"This is repairing children's skills, good for car business, motorcycles, I also saw the electronics and good building practice, installing ceramic floors, I think that's what skills are needed," said Jokowi.
