JAKARTA - Acting (Plt) Head of the Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Agency, Gumilar Ekalaya, was a victim of stabbing by a man with the initials RH.

The stabbing of DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan took place at the Tourism Office on Wednesday, February 10.

DKI Disparekraf Tourism Industry Head Bambang Ismadi explained the chronology of the incident. He said, initially a guest with the initials RH came to Gumilar to his office.

"It happened around 12 in the afternoon. The head of the Kadis received him in his room on the second floor, he (a guest) wanted to meet," said Bambang when contacted, Wednesday, February 10.

Suddenly, the perpetrator with the initials RH took out a knife from his bag and stabbed Gumilar in the thigh. Bambang said that the puncture was once 2 centimeters deep.

Then, the perpetrator immediately fled. It's just that, when on the 1st floor of the Tourism Office building, the security officers saw the perpetrator with a knife.

"Because there were many friends (employees) there, they were immediately caught. Security was also hit by (a knife) when the perpetrator tried to escape. When the perpetrator ran in the yard, he was finally arrested," said Bambang.

The perpetrator was brought to the South Jakarta Metro Police. Meanwhile, Gumilar was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Furthermore, Bambang said that Gumilar is currently in good health. "In fact, he has a plan to go back to the office. But I think it's canceled, because it still hasn't been sewn, he said. The wound is afraid of rust or all kinds of sharp weapons," he concluded.
