Butet Kertaredjasa Wants To See Gibran-Mahfud MD Debate Cawapres: 2 Years Experience Against Doctorate Professor

JAKARTA - culturalist Butet Kertaredjasa hopes that Solo Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka will accompany the presidential candidate (candidate) of the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) who is also the General Chair of the Gerindra Party, Prabowo Subianto.

He admitted that he couldn't wait to see young people who had two years of experience against Mahfud MD who had been active in the government for a long time. This was conveyed by Butet while attending Meet and Greet Ganjar Prabowo-Mahfud MD in Jakarta, Monday, October 23.

"Because I really miss it later if there is a debate, the vice presidential candidate is a 35-year debate against Prof. Mahfud MD. It's really good, it's the most cool debate for the vice presidential candidate in Indonesian history," said Butet who sat next to Mahfud MD at the event.

Butet had praised Mahfud MD. He was sure that when elected, the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs would not only be a complement to Ganjar.

"Some time ago, the name of the vice president was only like a doll, a spare tire. But, I'm sure that Mr. Mahfud MD will be the vice president of Mas Ganjar, it's definitely not the doll vice president," he said.

Previously reported, Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD has officially registered as a candidate pair for president and vice president in the 2024 presidential election. They submitted the registration file and completeness to the General Election Commission (KPU) last week.

Meanwhile, Gibran was just announced as a vice presidential candidate for Prabowo Subianto last night, Sunday, October 22. Prabowo's announcement was delivered directly by Prabowo accompanied by the general chairman of the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM).

The pair will only register on Wednesday, October 25. Gibran will later be shown to the public at that momentum.
