Police Investigate Residents' Testimony Regarding The Smell Of Mesiu After The Explosion At The Setiabudi House Project

JAKARTA - The police are investigating the smell of post-explosivetors that killed a project worker with the initials A (49) in the house project on Jalan Boat 02, RT 07, Setiabudi, South Jakarta.

South Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Ade Ary said, news from residents about the smell ofCE after the explosion occurred is still being investigated.

"Yes, we will investigate it later," said Kombes Ade to reporters at the location, Wednesday, October 18.

Kombes Ade explained that the chronology of the incident began with three witnesses and the victim was resting in the work of the foundation of the house. Then resumed at the back of the house.

"When digging, the victim found a bright object like white, then one of the witnesses was reminded to be careful with the object," he said.

"Then, the victim hit the object and eventually caused an explosion," he continued.

As a result of the incident, victim A died at the crime scene (TKP), while another worker suffered minor injuries.

Today, victims have been evacuated and other victims taken to the nearest clinic for further action.

"Then victim A we found dead in the dug ground they were working on. Meanwhile, three other witnesses suffered minor injuries and are currently being treated at a nearby clinic," he said.

Ade said that currently the Gegana Polda Metro Jaya team is investigating the case to find out the cause of the explosion.

"Then at this time the crime scene is still being processed and identified by the South Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit team as well as the identification team from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation at Polda Metro Jaya," he concluded.
