MUI Urges PBB And OKI To Take Response To Israel Attacking Hospitals In Gaza

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) has urged the United Nations Security Council (UN) and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to immediately take concrete steps to respond to Israeli attacks on hospitals (RS) in Gaza, Palestine.

"Don't be silent and ethical," said the Head of the MUI for Foreign Relations and Foreign Cooperation, Sudarnoto Abdul Hakim, in a written statement received by ANTARA, Jakarta, Wednesday.

Regarding the bomb attack on hospitals in Gaza by Israeli forces, he said that Israeli troops and rulers were increasingly losing control and common sense.

The Israeli troops, he said, had gone bankrupt and lost morally and politically.

"Israel has collapsed in the eyes of the world and is just waiting for the seconds of collapse. They are creating hell for themselves," he said.

Sudarnoto said the wave of alliances between countries and civil society had begun to strengthen in defending Palestine to achieve its sovereignty and independence.

Meanwhile, Israel, according to him, will be increasingly surrounded by global powers from anywhere.

MUI, he said, supports and appreciates the Spanish government for bringing Israel to an international court.

"All healthy countries will declare Israel has committed war crimes and must be severely punished," he said.

Sudarnoto also added that the United States (US) and NATO were directly involved in the most violent war and genocide crimes of the century.

To that end, MUI calls on other countries, including Indonesia, to come together to find ways to try Israel in an international court.

The move, according to Sudarnoto, is important to emphasize that everyone must ensure the protection of humanity even though Israel and Palestine are in a state of war.

"Israel is not at war by upholding ethics, but is carrying out destruction and destruction in ways that affect it," he said.

Therefore, MUI, he said, encouraged UN and OKI DK to immediately hold an emergency meeting and take concrete steps to realize Palestinian independence.

Meanwhile, MUI also called on Muslims to perform occult prayers, pray qunut nazilah and strengthen humanitarian action for the Palestinian people.
