Hasto Reveals Reasons For Ganjar's Vice Presidential Candidate To Be Announced Tomorrow: Mrs. Megawati Sees Political Dynamics

Secretary General of the PDI-P (PDIP) Hasto Kristiyanto said the announcement of Ganjar Pranowo's assistant vice presidential candidate (cawapres) was decided by PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri to be carried out tomorrow, Wednesday, October 18 after hearing political dynamics.

This was conveyed by Hasto after a closed meeting at Megawati's residence. There were a number of high-ranking officials such as PDIP General Treasurer Olly Dondokambey and DPP Chairman who was also Megawati's son, Prananda Prabowo.

Hasto admitted that in the closed meeting there were a number of things that were reported to Megawati. One of them is the current dynamics of national politics.

"I report the dynamics of national politics regarding what happened in the Constitutional Court," Hasto told reporters on Jalan Teuku Umar, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, October 17.

"Then he gave us directions and by looking at the dynamics that existed in the end, Mrs. Megawati Soekarnoputri assigned the PDI-P DPP to coordinate with the President's Ganjar National Winning Team so that tomorrow on Wednesday, 18 October 2023 at 10:00 a candidate for vice president will be announced accompanying Pak Ganjar Pranowo," he continued.

Hasto doesn't want to talk much about this figure. He only mentioned his initials Indonesia Raya.

"Tomorrow we'll just have to wait," he said.

Even so, Hasto ensured that this name had long been on the radar of the party's general chairman. Likewise, communication, which according to him does not need to be done directly but can be done online.

"So the meeting is if Mrs. Mega can be held in public spaces so there is nothing to hide. So please wait patiently for tomorrow's announcement," concluded Hasto.
