Warns Israel, Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei Asks For Genocide In Gaza To Be Stopped

JAKARTA - Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali called on Israel to immediately stop genocide against Palestinians in Gaza, warning of an unstoppable response if violence against the region continues, state television reported Tuesday.

"No one can face Muslims and resistance forces if the Zionist regime's crimes against Palestinians continue. Bombings against Gaza must be stopped immediately," Khamenei stressed.

"The world is witnessing the genocide of the Zionist regime against Palestinians in Gaza," Khamenei continued.

Israel is known to have vowed to destroy the Hamas movement that controls Gaza after the militant group fighters stormed Israel on October 7, killing 1,300 people, most civilians, to be the deadliest day in their history.

Israel then retaliated against the attack by bombarding the Gaza Strip, carrying out airstrikes that had killed more than 2,800 Palestinians, a quarter of whom were children and left about half of Gazans leaving their homes.

Not only that, Israel has also imposed a total blockade of the enclave, blocking food, fuel, and medical supplies, which are quickly depleted.

"We have to respond, we have to react to what is happening in Gaza," Khamenei exclaimed, adding Israeli officials should be tried for "their crimes against Palestinians in Gaza".

It is known that support for the Palestinian struggle has been a pillar of Tehran since the 1979 revolution, one of the ways to establish it as one of the leaders of the Muslim world.

Israel has long accused Iran's rulers of fueling violence by supplying weapons to Hamas, which Tehran denies saying it provides moral and financial support to the group.
