The Attorney General's Office Ensures That BPK Will Be Examined Regarding The BTS Kominfo Corruption Case

Head of the Legal Information Center (Kapuspenkum) Ketut Sumedana ensured that the prosecutor's investigators would examine parties from the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) to clarify the information presented by the defendant Irwan Hermawan (IH) at the trial of the alleged corruption case of the BTS 4G infrastructure development project Package 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5.

"We will examine the BPK people for clarification on what IH said and the results of Sadikin's examination," said Ketut in Jakarta, Monday, October 16, quoted by Antara.

Ketut said the BPK examination was also to clarify the results of the examination of the suspect Sadikn Rusli who was arrested on Saturday, October 14.

This is considering that the name Sadikin was mentioned by the Director of PT Multimedia Berdikari Sejahtera Windi Purnama, who had handed over Rp40 billion to a representative from the BPK named Sadikin.

"We will check the BPK people," he said.

The former Deputy Head of the Bali High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) also confirmed that Sadikin Rusli, who was arrested by Jampidsus investigators, was not from the BPK.

"He is not a BPK person, he is a private party. If he has a connection with the BPK, of course we will investigate and develop it when this evidence is found," he said.

Ketut emphasized that Jampidsus investigators traced all the links between Sadikin and BPK by asking for information from the BPK in the near future.

If evidence is found, investigators will develop the case by conducting an in-depth investigation.

"If there is evidence, we will develop the case. What is clear is that we will summon all of them, we will summon all of them," said Ketut.

In this corruption case that cost the state finances Rp8.32 trillion, the AGO has named 14 people as suspects. The four suspects were divided into three case clusters, namely corruption, non-criminal bribery in the BTS Kominfo corruption fund flow, and hindered investigations.

Of the 14 suspects, he said, six people were already in the trial stage, namely Anang Achmad Latif, Yohan Suryanto, Gelumbang Menak Simanjuntak, Mukti Ali, Irwan Hermawan, and Johnny G. Plate.

Two other suspects are already in phase two, delegation to the Central Jakarta District Court, namely Windy Purnama and Muhammad Yusriski Muliawan. The case files of the two are planned to be transferred between October 16 or 17.

Furthermore, six suspects are still under investigation, namely Jemy Sutjiawan, Elvano Hatorangan, M. Ferriandi Mirza, Walbertus Natalius Wisang (Article 21), Naek Parulian Washington Hutahaean or Edward Hutahaean (Article 15), and Sadikin Rusli (Article 15).
