The Indonesian Bawaslu Admittedly, In NTT Many 'Curi Start' Election Campaigns Before The Schedule

JAKARTA - RI Bawaslu member Lolly Suhenty said East Nusa Tenggara Province was included in the category of high election vulnerability index (IKP) due to the rampant campaign activities beyond schedule.

"NTT Province was originally included in the election vulnerability index (IKP) with a moderately vulnerable category but once we looked again it was very vulnerable in the dimensions of election contestation due to rampant campaign activities beyond schedule," said Lolly Suhenty, Antara, Sunday, October 15.

He said the crucial stages in the election went through iIKP where if you look at the data of the NTT Province as a whole the IKP of the NTT Province position is prone to dendang but after looking at it again it is high prone to contestation dimensions.

He explained that the dimensions of election contestation in high-prone NTT despite the accumulation of four large dimensions prone to moderate scores reached 56.75 due to one of the indicators of campaigns beyond schedule.

According to him, if you look at the events of the regional elections and previous elections, then this is something that must be considered properly how this high vulnerability does not happen again.

He said that his party as the election supervisor needed to mitigate risks and ensure that identification of vulnerabilities was carried out in a sustainable manner.

The Indonesian Bawaslu, he said, must have the courage to carry out professional work so that discussion forums in national coordination meetings held in Kupang will increase positive energy for courage and identify vulnerable issues early on.

A number of important issues that need attention, such as neutrality of ASN, money politics, SARA issues, other issues so that they can be overcome, and do not happen again so that Bawaslu must have courage, where courage without knowledge is called reckless, while courage based on understanding regulations is called great.

"We hope that this national coordination meeting will provide the best results for the strategy to prevent the quality of supervision of the campaign stages carried out by Bawaslu," said Lolly Suhenty in an activity which was also attended by Acting Governor of NTT Ayodhia GL Kalake.

Meanwhile, Acting Governor of NTT Ayodhia GL Kalake hopes that Bawaslu as an election organizer will consistently play an important role in preventing violations, disputes in the election process, and working optimally to minimize potential violations, especially during the campaign period.
