BALI - The 2nd World Water Forum (WWF) or 2nd Stakeholder's Consultation Meeting (SCM) will be held at the Intercontinental Hotel Bali Resort, Jimbaran, Badung Regency, Bali Province on October 12, 2023. The meeting will establish a number of joint concrete commitments and action plans to find solutions to solve water problems globally based on will and political decisions.

The foundation is believed to create water diplomacy consisting of several policies, namely water management financing and water rights. These policies must be implemented concretely in their respective countries, both nationally and locally.

One of the goals is to be able to provide solutions to efforts to increase access to water and sanitation for the poor. Broadly speaking, water must be able to unite the entire country through cooperation in dealing with problems.

"We obey political will and political decisions because water is politics together, water surrounds us, water unites us, water stimulates us, and water is our present. It will be our future and the future of the next generation," said President of the World Water Council (WWC) Loic Fuchon when opening the 2nd Stakeholder's Consultation Meeting (SCM), October 12.

The 2nd Stakeholder's Consultation Meeting brings together various stakeholders so that they can establish communication that can build cooperation between countries in various other parts of the world such as Asia Pacific, America, Africa, and other regions.

Specifically, the 2nd WWF Stakeholder Consultation Meeting brought together around 1,094 stakeholders from 73 countries consisting of elements of the head of state, the central government, local authorities, parliament, organizations, and the community.

"Our job is to show the media and the wider community that our work around the world provides solutions," said Loic.

The meeting has the concept of thematic discussion, namely Water for Humans and Nature, Water Security and Prosperity, Disaster Risk Reduction and Management, Governance, Cooperation and Hydro-Diplomacy, Sustainable Water Finance, Knowledge and innovation.

The thematic process, developed topics and sub-them concepts with detailed issues to discuss tentative session topics based on discussions within their respective working groups by holding breakout sessions.

These big challenges, all of which are important priorities for the future of the planet, will require us to make even greater efforts in the years and decades to come," concluded Loic at the second WWF event in Bali.
