NTT Police Detain 2 Corruption Suspects For Construction Of Boking Hospital In TTS

JAKARTA - NTT Police Investigators have detained two suspects in the alleged corruption case in the construction of the Boking Primary Hospital in South Central Timor Regency (TTS). "Today we are detaining two suspects in the alleged corruption case of the construction project of the Boking Primary Hospital (RSP) in South Central Timor Regency," said Director of Special Criminal Investigation at the NTT Police Kombes Yaswandi Irwan in Kupang, Antara, Friday, October 13. Investigators of the Corruption Crime of the Ditreskrimsus Polda NTT have carried out various stages in disclosing cases of alleged corruption in the 2017 Boking RSP construction project. As many as 40 witnesses who have been questioned by investigators to uncover corruption cases in the Boking Hospital construction project. "We have also examined a number of witnesses, including several expert witnesses and it turns out that the hospital was completely damaged and could not be used," said Yaswandi. The two suspects detained after being questioned by investigators from Sub-Directorate III/Tipikor Ditreskrimsus Polda NTT are Barince S. Yalla (BSY) as the Commitment Making Officer of the South Central Timor District Health Office and Andre Feby Limanto (AFL) as the flag borrower and implementing contractor. "The detention of the two suspects was carried out for investigation purposes," Yaswandi added. On this Friday, investigators also examined HD alias Hamka as the supervisory consultant in the Boking Hospital construction project. This examination is the second time after HD was named a suspect in July 2023. Overall, the East Nusa Tenggara Police have named five suspects in the alleged corruption case of the Boking Hospital construction project. Apart from HD, BSY and AFL, the other two suspects are GA as the planning consultant and MZ as the implementing contractor of PT Tangga Batu Jaya Abadi. The construction project of the Boking RSP was carried out in the 2017 fiscal year with budget sources from special allocation funds (DAK) and general allocation funds (DAU) amounting to Rp17.4 billion The project was carried out by PT Tangga Batu Jaya Abadi as the winner of the auction. The work on the Boking Hospital was only completed at the end of 2018 and inaugurated by the Regent of South Central Timor, Egusem Pieter, in May 2019, with the condition of some of the hospital buildings being damaged.
