Two Armed Robbers Of Air Gun, Arrested By Pioneer Team In Kalimalang

JAKARTA - Two robbers were arrested by the Precision Pioneer Patrol Team (TPPP) when they were about to demolish on Jalan Raya Kalimalang, Pondok Kelapa, Duren Sawit District, East Jakarta, Thursday morning, October 12.

Head of Turjawali Sat Samapta East Jakarta Metro Police, Iptu Rano Mardani, said the two men were secured along with evidence when 10 personnel were conducting routine patrols in the East Jakarta area.

"After we arrested them, the confessions of the two perpetrators intended to carry out a robbery. We found evidence belonging to them in the form of a sharp weapon (sajam) sickle and a water gun," said Iptu Rano when confirmed, Thursday, October 12.

Iptu Rano said the arrest of the robber began when his party was crossing Jalan Pangkalan Jati Kalimalang, Duren Sawit District. He received reports from residents of illegal racing in the Jalan Curug Raya Kalimalang area, Duren Sawit District.

Knowing this, his party immediately went to the location to disperse illegal racing. After disbanding the illegal racing, two members of the members who were members of the Precision Pioneer Patrol Team (TPPP) conducted a patrol sweep again around the location.

"When sweeping in front of the Billy Moon Pondok Kelapa complex, Duren Sawit District, two TPPP personnel saw two men with one motorbike looking panicked when our members passed by," he said.

Iptu Rano said that his party immediately chased the two men into the Billy Moon complex in Pondok Kelapa. His party had lost track of the two men, and then looked for ways by guarding several exits of the complex.

"Not long after we waited at the exit of the complex, the two men came out and passed fast on Jalan Raya Kalimalang. Not far from the exit of the complex, the perpetrator was seen throwing an object on the side of the road," he said.

Iptu Rano explained, after successfully chasing the perpetrator then arrested him. His party immediately took the two men to their initial location throwing away an object. After checking, it turned out that the object was a air gun.

"When the check was carried out, it turned out that the air gun weapon was thrown away by the perpetrator," he said.

Furthermore, the two men were taken by TPPP to the Duren Sawit Police for further action.
