KENDARI - The Kendari Basarnas Rescue Team is searching for grandfather Lanudin (70), who disappeared in the sago plantation of Lameruru Village, West Ranomeeto District, South Konawe Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province.

Head of Kendari Basarnas Muhammad Arafah said that the victim's disappearance was first informed by Firmansyah, who is the victim's family, last Wednesday at around 21.25 WITA.

"Reported that there has been a dangerous condition for humans, one person has disappeared in the sago plantation of Lameruru Village, West Ranomeeto District," said Arafah.

He said that the Joint SAR Team personnel consisted of Basarnas Kendari, Ranomeeto Police, Bhabinsa, Indonesian Air Force, village officials, the community and the victim's family.

"Meanwhile, the tools used are rescue trucks and trails, forest rescue equipment and other safety support equipment," said Arafah.

The head of Basarnas Kendari also said that the victim's disappearance began when he went to his sago plantation, on Wednesday (11/10) at around 09.00 WITA.

"Until the afternoon the victim had not returned, so the victim's family decided to look for the victim in their garden and did not find the victim," said Arafah.

He also said that at that time the family had carried out a search around the victim's garden, but no sign of the grandfather was found.
