TPA Purbahayu Pangandaran Fire, BPBD Duga Api Derived From Waste Such As Power Bank To Gas Korek

JABAR - Purbahayu Final Disposal Site (TPA) in Pangandaran, West Java (West Java), has been on fire since Friday, October 6. Currently, officers continue to spray water on hotspots near residents' land to prevent the re-emergence of fire.

The Head of BPBD Pangandaran Untung Saeful Rokhman said that the cause of the fire at the Purbahayu TPA was not yet known. However, there is a possibility that it will start with garbage that has the potential to cause sparks.

"A kind of power bank can also cause sparks. Then the remains of unused gas matches. So, waste can also cause a fire, when it is hot it explodes," he said when contacted, Sunday, October 8, confiscated by Antara.

Untung mengatakan Dinas Lingkungan Hidup dan Keberihanan dan Dinas Pemadam Kebakaran saat ini masih terus berupaya mencegahkan kebakaran yang terjadi di TPA Purbahayu meluas ke lahan warga.

"We are trying to block it so it doesn't spread to the residents' plantation areas," he said.

"Insulated to break the chain of fire. So, the most burned is garbage," continued Untung.

Untung mengatakan tindakan pencegahan yang dilakukan petugas dengan terus menyemankan air ke titik-titik api yang berada di dekat lahan milik warga.

"Profession is still being carried out to anticipate when someone is on the edges of the residents' land," he said.
