PAPUA - Head of the Cartenz Peaceful Public Relations Task Force 2023 AKBP Bayu Suseno revealed that the firearm (senpi) that was secured in the search of the KKB Bintang Mountains Headquarters, the Otobius Midana Mimin group, turned out to belong to the Indonesian Army helicopter pilot who lost contact on June 28, 2019.

It is known that there were four rifles and bullets were secured starting from 1 FN No Seri 70,1574, 1 pistol magasen, 41 rounds of 5.56 mm munitions, 9 rounds of 9 mm munitions, 3 38 mm munitions, 1 stick of striped clothes with the words TPNPB Kodap XV Ngalum Kupel.

"The weapon belonging to Captain (CPN) Aris, a TNI AD helicopter pilot who lost contact on June 28, 2019. The MI-17V5 HA-5138 helicopter lost contact in Oksop District, Bintang Mountains Regency," said Bayu in his statement, Sunday, October 8.

Bayu explained that the four rifles were secured, two of which were long-barreled. The rest are short FN types.

"So the total firearms that we can secure from the Otobius Midmin group consist of 2 long rifles and 2 short pieces of FN type and hundreds of ammunition," he said.

On his occasion, Bayu revealed that to anticipate disturbances from the KKB, his party together with the TNI continued to be on guard in the area.

"When it is relatively conducive and under control. The TNI and Polri will continue to maintain security and enforce the law against the KKB which disrupts the Kamtibmas situation in the Papua region," he said.
