Police Hold Central Operations To Secure AIS Forum 2023 Summit In Nusa Dua Bali

The National Police held a centralized operation from 8 to 13 October 2023 to secure the implementation of the Archipelagic and Island States High Level Conference (KTT AIS) forum which will be centered in Nusa Dua, Bali.

The National Police held the Tribrata Agung 2023 operation, which will be carried out for six days prioritizing preventive and preemptive activities, supported by intelligence, cyber and Interpol activities, to secure the AIS Forum 2023 Summit.

"The operation plan has been prepared to serve as a guide and reference in carrying out security duties," said Head of the National Police's Security Maintenance Agency (Kabaharkam) Komjen Mohammad Fadil Imran when holding an assembly for the deployment of security forces at the AIS Forum Summit at Niti Mandala Field, Denpasar, Bali, reported by ANTARA, Saturday, October 7.

Fadil said that the preparation for securing the AIS Summit has so far arrived at the last check of the readiness of the Indonesian National Police, both personnel and infrastructure such as main equipment (Alut), special equipment (Alsus) and special materials (Almatsus) which are one unit in the success of securing the AIS Forum 2023 Summit in Bali.

Komjen Fadil said that as the largest archipelagic country in the world, it is certainly a matter of pride and achievement where Indonesia is able to hold and initiate the implementation of the Summit for archipelagic countries.

"As the host, we must be proud because it is part of the history of destroying very important events for Indonesia. We will be remembered in the world that the meeting of the AIS Forum Summit, which was the first time in Indonesia, went smoothly and safely," said the former East Java Police Chief.

Therefore, to ensure that the implementation of the activity runs smoothly, the National Police deployed 4,286 personnel consisting of the National Police Headquarters 1,995 personnel and the Bali Police 2,291 assisted by the TNI from three dimensions, as well as other relevant stakeholders.

In implementing the security of international-scale activities, said Fadil, the Police do not want to make the slightest mistake. Therefore, everything is prepared as best as possible from planning, implementation, supervision to control.

He believes the TNI-Polri have sufficient resources, both personnel and facilities and infrastructure. However, he warned the personnel involved in security in various Task Forces not to underestimate or underestimate all potential threats because all TNI-Polri security activities are a gamble for Indonesia in the international world.

The Commander of the Joint Regional Defense Command (Pangkogabwilhan) II Marsdya TNI Andyawan Martono Putra revealed the same thing to the soldiers who participated in the troop deployment activity at Niti Mandala Field, Denpasar, Saturday afternoon.

"The success and safety of the AIS Forum Summit which was held for the first time not only had an impact on the reputation of the security forces, but it would have an impact on Indonesia's reputation and good name in the international arena," he said.

He hopes that the personnel fully understand their duties and are quick to face the dynamics in the field, cooperate and coordinate in the field so that there is no miscommunication during the security operation of the AIS Forum 2023 Summit.
