Gerindra Calls Khofifah A Favorite Candidate For The Head Of Timses Prabowo

JAKARTA - Deputy General Chairperson (Waketum) of the Gerindra Party, Habiburokhman, named the Governor of East Java (Jatim) Khofifah Indar Parawansa as the main candidate for Chairman of the Prabowo Subianto Success Team (Timses) in the 2024 presidential election.

Habiburokhman assessed that Khofifah had similarities with the Head of Gerindra Prabowo Subianto, who both knew no surrender.

"So it's natural, (Khofifah) is one of the favorites of friends as the Head of Timses," Habiburokhman told reporters, Friday, October 6.

The deputy chairman of Commission III of the DPR said that Khofifah and Prabowo are figures who always rise up to fight despite repeated failures.

"He was one of the extraordinary women. He was once a minister, a success and Mrs. Khofifah was a typical fighter like Pak Prabowo. If people struggle they don't know to give up, fail to rise again, they fail to rise again," said Habiburokhman.

Although Gerindra has not officially asked Khofifah to become the Chair of Timses Prabowo, Habib said, the communication between the two figures has been going well lately. "Mr. Prabowo has met him several times," he added.

In line with Gerindra, the Democratic Party also said that Khofifah deserves to be considered as the Chair of Timses Prabowo. Head of BPOKK DPP Democratic Party Herman Khaeron said Khofifah had more value because it came from and had a broad Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) mass base. Where it can have an impact on Prabowo's electoral.

"Bu Khofifah is a community leader, he is also the Governor of East Java, he also has a mass in NU, and of course he has a large enough carriage. If it is also integrated with Mr. Prabowo's presidential candidate, God willing, he will increase the electoral," said Herman.
