JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya has finished carrying out the title of the case for alleged sexual harassment by the Miss Universe Indonesia 2023 event committee. As a result, one person with the initials ASD alias S was named a suspect. "The case title today has been determined by 1 suspect ASD alias S," said Director of General Criminal Investigation of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Hengki Haryadi in his statement, October 4. However, it was not explained in detail about ASD alias S as the organizer or not. It is only said that the determination of the suspect against ASD alias S was based on strong evidence. Where, investigators have collected information from 28 witnesses and experts... "It consists of 8 victims, 13 witnesses, 3 were reported and 4 expert witnesses," said Hengki. The alleged harassment case at the Miss Universe Indonesia 2023 event occurred on August 1. Meanwhile, the event was held by PT CSK as the Event Organizer (EO).

In the development of the handling process, the police have raised the case to the investigation stage. The basis for the investigation is LP/B/4598/VII/2023 SPKT POLDA METRO JAYA. Where, the reported party who is the organizer is suspected of violating Article 4, 5, 6, 15 of Law Number 12 of 2022 concerning the Crime of Sexual Violence.
